Jlooper – Pure Data Patch

Well this isn't exactly a VST, but is actually a patch written in Pure Data for real-time 8 channel looping with filters, glitching fx, and crazy ring modulation. I used this on the first song on Yemaja and other tracks. It's crazy to use, not easy to understand, and you need to have Pure Data installed and configured for it to work. I wrote it so long ago, I barely remember how to use it myself. but the basic idea is to be able to plug a guitar or whatever into the input on your computer and have 8 channels basically endless delays that can be manipulated and transformed in real-time, they also can be made, non-endless so it's not really loops, but a totally insane delay fx with 8 simultaneous settings all going on at once.

If you don't know, Pure Data is a brilliant semi-graphical programming environment written by Miller Puckette It's not for everyone, but if you have time on your hands (a lot of time) you just might find it fun. If you can imagine it, you can make it with PD.

I'm not an expert programmer in PD, and my code is a bit sloppy and crazy, but the jlooper definitely makes some interesting sounds. Download it here. and If you don't have it, you can download Pure Data Here.

Oh yeah, you can also record directly to wav file right from within the jlooper.
